Amazon

Well I am glad to hear things have been sorted out with Amazon, and their de-rating and de-listing of many adult books, most noticibly LGBT books which seemed to disappear, while other adult books like "American Psycho" and the "Playboy Book of Centerfolds" remained. So that when you searched for "homosexual" the first books that popped up in the search list was books on why "being gay is wrong" and "how to get help for it" ect.

I do still find it highly suspicious how Amazon's story over the incident has changed so many times in the past few days after the complaints started rolling in. First it was a glitch, then it was a hacker, and now it was a "catalogue error." The phrase "covering their arses" keeps popping in my head for some reason (no pun intended ;P)

Well, I don't want to turn into a conspiracist, so I'll just say that whatever it was I am glad that Amazon have sorted it out/come to their senses, and all is back to normal again. If it was an attempt at censorship by Amazon receiving pressure from the right wing and religious types, then I am glad that they clearly underestimated the backlash it would have. If it was just a catalogue error then I'm glad it's been fixed.

Stay Beautiful,

Aissa.
