How time flies when you're... well, not really doing anything actually. My New Year resolution this year was to try and sort my life out, especially with regards to my agoraphobia. Well, we're into the second month now and I haven't actually managed to get out of the house once so far this year. Clearly I fail at life! -.-

I really need to take a leaf out of the revolutionists in Egypt's books They certainly know how to get things done, rather than wallowing in defeat. I've been watching the footage of them celebrating Mubarak finally leaving throughout the night. It's both heartwarming and inspirational.

In other brilliant news (well, brilliant for me anyway) it's been announced that Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson will be working together again, for the first time in eight years! This is just epic news for me because I seriously never thought we'd get to see these 2 working again after their apparent falling out.

It's only a small project for a Comic Relief thing, but quite frankly I'm just happy to see anything of one of my favourite comedy duos working together again. Especially since I never thought it would happen again. This news comes from the horse's mouth (by which I mean Adrian's twitter) so it's definitely not fake. He also posted this photo:

Fuck yes! :D

P.S. Excuse any typos, insomnia has kept me up all night so there's likely to be a couple in there somewhere.

Pretty, but kind of inconvenient too!

The snow is still falling, and getting heavier. The cat has been going crazy in it. Tearing around the garden like a thing possesed!

...Yeah, he's not impressed!

We might actually have a white Christmas this year then... depending on how long into next week the snow lasts.

Wow, I really should try and remember to update this thing more often. My last entry was back in September. I think it says something about my life that when I have no TV programmes to review I have pretty much nothing to write about! XD

Not that it's been a fun couple of months, with snow, and the Lib Dems getting a kicking over tuiton fees, and the usual looming Christmas stresses.

Ah well, looking forward to Doctor Who at Christmas at least!

I just thought I would dedicate a journal entry to my sick kitty James while we wait to find out what will be happening with her.

This is her from last year:

I am going to have to get out my camera and take some more recent photos of her. Even though her health and body weight have already partially deteriorated.

This is a photo of her and her siblings at just a few weeks old (she is the one on the far left):

She and her siblings were born under my bed after our cat Marilyn got pregnant (she was spayed after that). All the kittens went to friends, so we'd know they were going to be looked after. However, my Mum's friends, who was going to have James, had some unforeseen problems and was unable to take her in the end. By then I had got so attached to James that we decided to keep her.

Which is why she has a male name. When the kittens were born we named them (clockwise from the left in that photo): James, Sean, Tabby and Maccy. Reasoning that it didn't matter what their sexes were, since their names would be changed anyway after 8 weeks when they went to their new homes. By the time we unexpectedly decided to keep James we had got used to the name and it stuck!

This is her from 2005, having fun in the garden:

I am glad she is still currently happy. I hope to make the right decisions for her in the coming months, and to not be selfish when the time comes that her suffering gets too much. At the moment though, she is still enjoying life. She is bounding around the garden now, as I type!

Reviews!

Firstly I want to say sorry to anyone who has messaged me or made comments and I haven't replied yet. It's been another turbulent week. I just found out my cat, James, has cancer. They're going to do a second biopsy on her next week to find out the condition of her lymph nodes to see how far the cancer has spread and whether they can do anything for her. :/

Anyway, on to this weeks Ashes to Ashes and Doctor Who reviews, in my usual rambly style. So obviously, as usual, there are *adopts a Rivers Song voice* spoilers... and bad language!

Also, WTF was up with them putting that advertisement for that Graham Norton show on near the end? Right during an intense scene too! The Beeb have never done that before. I thought that was the sort of thing that the TV license fee was supposed to stop happening?

Excuse the extra ramblyness of the reviews this week, and any mistakes/typos. My mind is all over the place at the moment! Anyway, roll on next weekend!

So much for 2010 being a better year than 2009!

Not only did my Grandma pass away last week, but now my Dad - who has recently been in hospital himself for internal bleeding and walking difficulties - has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Which, quite frankly, I didn't even know someone of his age could get. I've always associated it with younger people. I suppose the good news is that it's not fatal, which he thought it was at first.

I'm worried about him being on his own. I will be seeing him at my Grandma's funeral next Thursday. I just hope he's going to be all right. His job involves a fair amount of physical labour, and while he is on sick leave at the moment I'm not sure how he will cope when he goes back. :{

HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I hope everyone here has a great festive season. Whatever you may (or may not) celebrate. I wish you a good one, and a great New Year too.

Stay Beautiful,

Aissa.

...I really should have picked up a festive themed icon to use on here.

So, what was up with that strange spiral in Norway's sky then?

UFO? Something to do the the LHC at CERN? Blackhole? Worm hole? Meteor? Fireball? Russian rocket? A natural phenomenon no-one has seen before? A new type of Aurora Borealis? Project Blubeam? HAARP?

So far no-one seems to be able to explain it. Now, apparently, the same thing has happened in China with the spiral spinning clockwise first, and then counter-clockwise.

Only a few days after the Ministry of Defense shut down it's UFO department too. Damn those aliens are crafty. Waiting until we've all let our guard down and then sneaking in! There'll be a Dalek invasion tomorrow, you see if there isn't!

We're doomed. DOOOOOOOOMED!

The freaky thing is that this is disturbingly similar to a nightmare I had a few days ago. Although thankfully in real life it didn't end in the same way the nightmare did.

Stay Beautiful,

Aissa.

So, my cat Cerys was behaving rather funny a couple of days ago, and then he went missing. I was of course worried sick (getting a horrible déjà vu feeling from when my cat Giles went missing and it turned out he had been killed on the road). Anyway, a couple of days later he turned up again, safe and unhurt but still not himself at all, very quiet and sedate and walking stiffly, sleeping all the time and not eating.

So it was a trip to the vet, and apparently he has a very hight fever, which he has had a couple of injections for. Now he's not allowed outside until it's passeed (he's due for a checkup vet trip on Tuesday) and he has to be segregated from the other cats incase it's cat flu or something else contagious. He needs peace and quiet, rest, and someone to keep an eye on him.

So... yup, he's in my room, which I have to keep pretty dark and quiet for him. I am knackered *yawns* I must have woken up half-a-dozen times during my five hours sleep last night to make sure he was all right. Not to mention the 2 previous nights that I hardly got any sleep due to worry while he was missing.

Right now I could just... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Stay Beautiful,

Aissa.

It's too damn cloudy to see a single meteor from The annual Perseid meteor shower. It's too cloudy to even see a single star, or even the moon, much less a meteor! Ah well, maybe next year.

...Well, I actually can't sleep because of this cold I've had for the past few days, which is currently exacerbating my asthma and keeping me awake. My glands feel like footballs!

Anyway, I am currently passing the quiet hours of the night on here, reading fanfiction, and browsing stuff on www.i-am-bored.com (because I AM bored, VERY FUCKING BORED!!!)

Stay Beautiful,

Aissa.

OK, so I was watching a horror movie earlier tonight, called Scar. It's your usual teenagers being tortured and killed by a nutter sort of movie. Anyway, about halfway through I decided to go and get a coke from the fridge. I opened the living room door and nearly had a heart attack by coming face to face with a very big dog in the hallway, holding a cat food tin in his mouth!

I nearly screamed, and quickly shut the living room door, all before my brain processed that it was just a dog, and I could stop shaking. As it turned out, it was the neighbour's dog, who does sometimes get into the garden, and who had pushed the back door open, eaten all the cat's food that was left out, and was trying to get the last bits of food from the can that was also left out.

He's actually a sweet dog... when he's not giving me a bloody heart attack! Part German Shepherd (my favourite breed of dog), and he's very friendly. So anyway, the neighbour's came and picked him up, and I was able to watch the rest of the movie without incident. Now I just need to find the cats who fled to the four winds at the sight of a dog.

Stay Beautiful,

Aissa.

P.S. Who saw David Tennant on Comic Relief yesterday night? PHOAR!!! He should wear tight white suites more often. Not to metion the arse wiggle he did at the camera, I think I died and went to fangirl heaven!
