I've gone to a lot of nice places; only trouble is, I left myself too little time to properly see them! I started in southwest Cornwall, trying to get as close as I could to St Georges island of Rebel fame, in the company of its author, then saw the place in northwest Cornwall where DCam goes on holiday (Padstow/Rock/Polzeath), then a glimpse of southwestern Wales (Tenby) and a criminally short run through Bath, then a day in the Peak District (Derbyshire) trying to see two or three estates (with varying success), then two and a half days making day trips from London to Oxford, Cambridge and Canterbury, including a lovely get-together with four London-based loliticians Friday evening (who, me crazy planning such a trip? I guess if I drove it would not have been as stressful, but the rail service did me no favours with delays etc :( ) Still, I did manage to see quite a bit.
