Bill was awesome!
Nov. 23rd, 2007 01:21 amw00t! Back from the Bill bailey standup gig tonight and (needless to say) it was fantastic! I laughed so hard throughout the whole thing. I will post a longer account of it tomorrow night. Until then, a few highlights of the night:
Bill talking about the lyrics to a Killers song which go "I've got soul but I'm not a soldier", to which he said that when you think about it those lyrics makes about as much sense as singing "I've got ham but I'm not a hamster", which he then proceeded to get the whole audience singing, and also encouraged people to sing it at the Killers at their next gig.
Talking about how he was so hairy he was self-conscious about showing his body. Saying that he went to a tattoo place once to get a panther tattoo on his chest, and the tattooist saying he could get that done, but it would look like the panther was standing in a thicket!
Bill riding around the stadium on a motorised trouser press, and getting the audience to do a Mexican wave as he passed by. Also breaking his horn, and still trying to play it none-the-less!
Bill ending the gig by playing my favourite of his songs "Love Song", which there is a video of, if anyone was interested in hearing it (not from tonights show obviously, from his last tour):
