I am still alive!
Jul. 17th, 2008 03:40 pmWow, it's been so long since I actually posted a journal entry, I just though I should so people know I am still here... even though I don't have much to write about, I never tend to, which is why my blogs are usually few are far between.
I am feeling kinda hyper and giggly right now... I dunno why, maybe it's this delicious banana and strawberry smoothie I've been drinking all afternoon, so I just feel the need to type about anything.
I guess I could write about my birthday, which was a while ago, but I forgot to post a blog about it at the time, and it's about the only slightly interesting thing that's happened to me lately, so I might aswell do it now.
My mum made me a DELICIOUS vegan chocolate birthday cake, with vegan chocolate buttons on it, it was heavenly! ...I really should have taken a picture of it. I got a whole bunch of Doctor Who stuff, including a radio controlled Dalek and Cyberman, and TARDIS model, which lights up and makes noises. Heh, I am such a geek :P
Oooo! Also, I went to a Doctor Who exhibit in Cardiff, which was pretty awesome. It has this amazing life-sized Dalek which moved and talked and everything... was kinda creepy actually! Also stopped off at the Millennium Centre there to see where Torchwood was filmed. I've been to Cardiff many times, but that was before Torchwood, so it made it all the more exciting this time than ever before.
I've also got a new kitten, who I hope to post photos of sometime. I named her Cerys (after Cerys Matthews from Catatonia, it's also a Welsh name for Love)... and then I found out she is actually a he! Ah well, I'm gonna keep the name anyway, I've got used to it, and it suits him. Besides which I already have a female cat named James, and a female rat named Rick XD
Speaking of Welsh I have started trying to learn Welsh again. I have always wanted to learn Welsh, I tried once in my teen years, but ended up giving up after having too much other stuff to do. I recently found some free "Learn Welsh" podcasts on iTunes, so I've started again. Only on the 2nd lesson so far, but I'm in no rush.
Well, that's about all for now. I should post blogs more often... although I always say that, so I make no promises :P
Stay Beautiful,
Aissa.
