End of Time: Part 1

So, my first thoughts (or rather rambly incoherent ravings) on the End of Time part 1. I have only watched it the once so far, I will watch it again before next week, though, since I never manage to take it all in during the first watching and can miss things.
Lucy looked really different, and I'm wondering what happened to her after the Master was resurrected. Maybe that was something I missed. Is she going to be back in it, or did she die along with the others? If so I didn't see it. I suppose she must have gotten blow up along with the others. It's a shame though. I liked Lucy and I was hoping she would be in it longer.
Wilf was just amazing, as always. However, I am really worried something is going to happen to him in the next episode. If they kill of Wilf I would be pretty disappointed. Although I wouldn't put it past RTD to do that for the sake of "drama". We got a brief bit of Donna! With her starting to remember (dun dun DUN)! More of that to look foward to.
The Doctor, surprisingly, wasn't as itense as I was expecting him to be. Despite regretting his actions at the end of Waters of Mars I was still expecting a bit more of that arrogant, angry, and righteous Doctor that we saw in that episode. So while we had the usual angst and some intensitiy with the scenes with the Master, it wasn't how I thought he would be. I wasn't expecting him to be quite so... sad. It choked me up, especially the cafe scene. He cried, Wilf cried, and I cried!
When they said the Master was going to be extra crazy they weren't kidding! The Master has some extra strength crazy going on. Also, I could have done without him obsessing over food and talking about it right after I'd eaten my Christmas dinner! The Doctor seeing some of the Master's craziness when they linked minds was interesting. We got a brief description of the Master's childhood back on Gallifrey. Yay!
What was up with the totally cracktastic plot of the Master changing everyone on Earth to look like him? It was like a crack!fic... but it was canon. The green spiky aliens, whose species names I can't remember, seemed pretty cool. It's nice to have an alien species on Earth who are actually harmless and not trying to take over the Earth or destory it! Well, as far as we know anyway. They seem innocent enough.
The Time Lords/Gallifrey returning speculations have been proved to be true, which I am psyched about. I was so hoping it would be true. The rumours have been around for months. In fact when RTD first said he would be leaving as head writer numerous people speculated that his last episode would involve the return of Gallifrey/Time Lords.
Ok, so I loved this episode. That's not surprsing. There are four main things that generally automatically increase my liking of an episode (classic or new):
1. Any episode with the Master.
2. Any episode about/set on Gallifrey, or even talks about Gallifrey.
3. Any episode with any other Time Lords other than the Doctor and Master.
4. Any episode that adds fodder to my Doctor/Master shipping obsession.
This episode had ALL those things. So I may be slightly biased. Albeit the Gallifrey/TLs not happening until right at the end. I guess we have all that to look forward to next week.
I can't think of anything else to say right now. My brain is kinda fried from all the Christmas stuff (which I will also blame any typos in this entry on)! But all in all I loved it so much, and am soooooooo looking forward to next week! Despite the fact that it will be the end of my Doctor, and therefore I will be in floods by the end of it! D:
Stay Beautiful,
