Trying to figure out layouts.

Well if my jounral goes a bit strange over the next few days it's because I'm trying to figure out how to do layouts on here and i have noooo idea how to do it. I'm no good at this sort of stuff and get very confused very easily so there's a good chance I'm gonna screw this up!
