Manics are touring the UK *SQUEE!*
Feb. 16th, 2007 05:43 pmWell for many reasons my last few journal entires have been all quite depressing and downers, I think this is my first one in a long time where I actually have some possitive stuff to write about. I hope that's not being disrespectful to my grandpa.
Firstly, as the title indicates I am very happy about the fact that the Manics are going to be touring the UK in May and June *SQUEE!*
I missed out on their last UK gigs (in 2005) and all of James and Nicky's solo gigs last year because of my agoraphobia so it's been ages since I've seen them live.
I was hoping they would be doing Birmingham but they don't seem to be. Although they are doing a gig in Wolverhampton at the end of May, which may be better for me anyway as it's a smaller venue with less people and it's actually closer to me anyway.
This (on top of the Rik Mayall thing in May) gives me an even bigger incentive to keep on going with trying to get over my agoraphobia, which is going pretty well so far. Although I'm not going to get my hopes up too high, last time it was going so well I overreached my goal and ended up having a panic attack and it took me ages to get my confidence back to try again, but i'm being quietly optimistic.
On top of that the Manics have been talking about their new upcoming album "Send Away the Tigers" which I am also looking forward to a great deal, they have listed the titles of a few tracks on it, so *Squee* again. It should be released at about the same time of the tour in May/June (I'm hoping for May).
The last bit of good news for this journal entry (although hopefully not for the rest of this year!) is that I got a couple of rats yesterday.
They are still pretty young and very cute and friendly. I have named them Rick and Vyvyan after my favourite characters in "The Young Ones" (despite the fact that they're both female rats and the characters I named then after are male).
I have taken a photo of them, although they're not great quality photos since my camera is pretty much knackered, I really need to save up and get a new, good one (although they're pretty expensive for a decent one so it may be a while, until then I'll have to keep using my crappy old one!).
Anyway, here are the photos of them with a small decsription:

Vyvyan: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/48923423/
Stay Beautiful,
Aissa.
P.S. Excuse any typos, I've not been sleeping to well these last few weeks so I tend to keep making mistakes, and I can't be arsed to read through it and check for them :P
X-posted from my DA journal as usual.
