RIP grandpa <3
Feb. 4th, 2007 02:16 amIn my last few journal entries I've said how my grandpa has been very ill and was in hospital with heart failure and lung problems... well as you've most likely assumed by the title of this journal he passed away earlier today.
From what my mother has told me the hospital told her it was very quick, within half an hour, I don't really know much more since I don't really want to press her on the details.
As you can imagine it's a very sad time for the whole family and I may not be very active or even online much over the next week so if you comment on something and I fail to reply or give a reply a few days later please forgive me, I am not doing it out of rudeness.
The one thing I am majorly pissed about is the hospital. They were trying to convince my mother and aunt that he was alright to be discharged from the hoispital just a couple of days ago, even though he was still on a breathing machine and still in the midst of heart failure and not even eating anything!
Fucking NHS! They can't wait to turf people our of their hospitals to free up the beds. Well ok, so it's more to do with the damn government constantly cutting funds for the NHS so the hospitals have to do that sort of thing *ok rant over*
Well anyway, I'm gonna leave it there for now, all I can say is Rest in Peace grandpa, and I have faith that you are now in heaven reunited with grandma (who also passed away about 18 months ago) I'll miss you lots, so until we meet again up there,
