Ugh, this year just keeps getting better... /sarcasm

First painful dental surgery.

Then not being able to go to the recording of Bill Bailey's new radio panel quiz due to said dental surgery.

And now today I wake up to find my beloved chinchilla Nicky has died sometime in the night.

She had started eating less and less over the last month or so. I took her to the vet and she said it just seemed to be due to old age (I got her rescued, so I didn't know how old she was). I noticed she had a lot less energy too. She used to run everywhere, explore everything, chew everything! Lately though she just sat still on my bed, or on the floor, not really wanting to do much of anything.

I got her over 5 years ago. During the peak of my agoraphobia, when I would spent 24 hours a day in bedroom, for weeks on end, she was my only companion. I miss her lots already, there's a big empty space where her cage was, and an equally big empty space in my heart...

RIP Nicky, I'll miss you dearly :(



Now I get to look forward to my second dental surgery coming up on the 22nd of Feb!
