Things can only get better... I hope.
Jan. 4th, 2007 05:36 amWell I was hoping to start this new year with a more possitive journal entry from the miserable self-indulgent rantings of my last ones but sadly it seems that's not going to be the case, sorry.
Christmas and New Year didn't really get off too well. My grandpa is back in hospital with his heart and lung problems again so it's been a very subdued holiday period as you can imagine. We're all worried about him, I hope he can pull through this soon.
I was also hoping my dad would come to visit for Christmas, he was due to come over and see me on Boxing day (the day after Christmas) since he hasn't visited in a few months but apparantly he has been having some problems of his own, including loosing his car, so he couldn't make it.
On the brighter side I did get some nice stuff for Christmas. My mum gave me a book I've been wanting "Animal Equality: Language and Liberation" by Joan Dunayer. She also got me some DVD's I've been wanting including the quite rare "Bottom Live: The Big Number 2 Tour" which now finally completes my entire Bottom DVD collection, and she gave me a few other small things including a very cute small kitten calendar.
My brother got me a couple of DVD's: "Battle Royale" and "Men Behaving Badly: Jingle Balls". I also got some other various things from relatives, a wolf plushie, an animal calendar, some clothes, ect.
I also want to say that I'm currently not taking picture requests, sorry. I've been completely swamped with requests over the last couple of months and have been working on them non-stop which I think is why I'm starting to loose my motivation to draw.
I don't mind doing requests every now and again, but when I do nothing but requests and have no time to draw anything that I want to draw for myself it does tend to make it rather a chore. Not to mention with my grandpa the way he is and my family going through some rough times I may not have as much time to draw as I would usually, so all requests are on hiatus until further notice.
With that all said I don't think there's anything more to say for now, sorry for the bummer journal entry yet again, I'm hoping things will get better soon, so until then,
Stay Beautiful,
Aissa.
